If you ever want to experience the 'best of the best' in the world of highly competitive Grand Prix show jumping, I strongly recommend attending a Longines event. As I made the hour long drive from my home (which was so nice to be close by) and not sure what to expect... I arrived at the Nassau Colliseum and immediately felt proud displaying my press badge around my neck as I watched ringside in awe. Not only were the equine athletes beautiful but the skill and ease of the riders who guided their mounts over courses that were technical and challenging were amazing. They handled the size of the ring, the jumps, and the crowds along with the distractions that, I, as a rider, might have trouble focusing - didn't seem to phase them. Below are some of my favorite moments captured by my Nikon lens of the riders in action during the intense competition.
