Equilab is a Sweden based company founded in Gothenburg, but today boasts almost half of its team from other countries. “Our company is setting the pace on becoming an innovative solution for riders from all around the world,” said Johanna Wingstrand, Marketing Coordinator at Equilab. The company was created from the idea that something was missing from the equestrian world from a data and technical aspect. “One of our co-founders has a background in triathlons but after an injury he became involved with equestrian sport.” Having been exposed to all kinds of technical measuring tools when training for triathlons he noticed that this was not available for equestrians and the idea for Equilab came to life.

“Making equestrians better is our goal,” stated Nicole Graf, US Country Manager of the Ridely App, in a recent phone interview with The Tech Equestrian. The training app launched in the US in October last year and now boasts 50,000 video plays and more then 100,000 user-logged rides per month. “Ridely originated in Sweden in 2017 and they were looking to expand globally with the US market being a natural fit,” said Nicole. It’s now a complete tool for equestrians, with hundreds of training videos with the world’s best riders in various disciplines from beginner to advanced level. It also incorporates an innovative calendar-based journal where you can keep track of your training and everything around your horse. You can set goals and monitor your progress through photos and video.
